Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

Middle Market Banking

  • Services private and public companies with annual sales of $5 million to $2 billion

Responsible for providing centralized servicing and support for the Region Coverage segment. This position reports to the Portfolio Execution Leader and ensures adherence to all policy and regulatory requirements, monitoring of the loan portfolio and communicating regulatory and company requirements. In addition this position will track compliance reports and escalate identified issues for resolution interfacing with other bank operating units and partners. The position may also support the proper initiation and accuracy of loan documentation process and pre-closing and closing tasks. Other credit administration functions include monitoring of CRA Compliance, past due reports, and supporting bankers with the preparation of customer letters and post booking modifications.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.


Required Qualifications


  • 3+ years of commercial loan closing experience, commercial loan administration experience, or a combination of both

  • Knowledge and understanding of credit: policy, compliance, and underwriting requirements
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Experience with one or a combination of the following systems: Business Lending and Sales Tracking (BLAST), Hogan, Automated Financial Systems (AFS) commercial loan system, or SeeMorePlus
  • Commercial loan documentation, preparation, or review experience
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
