You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist and function as Logistics Planner for Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command in the development, maintenance, and analysis of Pacific Theater Campaign, Operations, and Conceptual Plans.
A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 10.28% will be added to the stated salary.
COLA is subject to change at any time.
- You will prepare, gather, and analyze data on a variety of logistics processes and issues.
- You will lead and coordinate the development of Logistics, Engineering, and Security Assistance Annexes.
- You will make policy decisions in regards to theater logistics plans.
- You will initiate and maintain contact with service and key Joint Staff and interagency personnel.
- You will manage, monitor, evaluate and coordinate the execution of Logistics Supportability Analysis (LSA).
- You will develop and implement strategies to overcome obstacles to execute contingency operations identified in the LSA.
- You will be responsible for enhancing logistics readiness, mobilization and logistics support effectiveness.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Performing qualitative and quantitative logistics risk analyses to evaluate progress in obtaining joint logistics support objectives and requirements identified in contingency war plans; 2) Designing and conducting comprehensive theater joint logistic support planning studies utilizing analysis tools and expert knowledge of joint deployment and distribution operations; 3) Analyzing and evaluating data on joint logistical processes and issues to effectively execute campaign plan, contingency war plans, and operations; 4) Planning, organizing, and leading joint logistics planning teams at daily informal sessions, routine working groups, and periodic conferences; and 5) Effectively negotiating with and briefing senior leadership and executive-level partners utilizing digital media partners.
