Summary/Objective:
Licensing & Compliance Clerks serve as the front-line for all Auto Dealer Services Division customers. Clerks handle all aspects of dealer license applications and dealer license plate requests, including receiving and properly applying required fees. Clerks communicate with dealers and applicants related to the licensing process, receive and enter dealer complaints, assist with the distribution of ADSD mail, and perform general filing tasks.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Perform licensing and certification for dealers(vehicle, watercraft, manufacturers, distributors, transfer, and automotive salvage recyclers) in accordance with I.C. 9-32.

Perform annual renewals (online and hard copy) for dealers assigned to the clerk's specific area. This includes reviewing for completeness and data entry functions.

Process initial applications for all dealer types, received both online and hard copy. This includes reviewing for completeness and data entry functions.

Updating of bond and insurances coverage. Dealers are required to have valid bond and insurance coverage, if not valid dealer license is suspended.

Processing of changes to the license (change of location, name, owner and entity; request for additional plates; request for off-site sales).

Respond to phone, email, and fax inquiries within a 24 hour time frame.

Perform general office duties including, but not limited to: faxing, copying, scanning, and filing .

Operate and maintain office machinery including copiers, fax machines, and printers.

Provide exceptional customer service while working and communication.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in a customer service and/or administrative role preferred.

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalency required; college degree preferred.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Previous experience with administrative duties in an office setting preferred.
Must be able to multi-task and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Demonstrates ability to communicate professionally via e-mail and telephone; previous customer service experience preferred.
Works well in a teamwork environment where workload is shared and responsibilities often overlap.
Bilingual candidate preferred.

If this is an Intermittent position, the position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
