The learning and development specialist will support needs analysis studies, design and curate content for new learning and development offerings, as well as deliver training in-person or virtually. The position will support the development and administration of learning and development programs. This individual provides training and development for management and non-management employees.


Assists learning & development advisors and managers with leadership and professional development needs assessments. Develops and delivers appropriate training classes to support the company's mission, goals, and business strategies. Assists learning & development team in delivering core leadership and professional development programs. Develops and delivers customized teambuilding events and workshops. Establishes evaluations, testing, and measurement procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of education programs. Serves as a resource for related sales education programs. Conducts thorough needs assessments and survey initiatives to identify learning and development opportunities. Keeps abreast of emerging external certifications; researches and recommends relevant new programs that will support key learning objectives. Develops conceptual content for teaching aids, such as instructor and participant manuals, online courses, podcasts, visual aids, and reference materials and works with L&D Associate to coordinate production and logistical set up.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, education, HR, or related discipline required. One (1) year of experience in content development, program development and facilitation. Must have training in adult learning principles, learning styles, and experiential learning techniques and the ability to define learning goals and objectives. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software programs and comfortable with the operation of audiovisual equipment to support presentation and facilitation. Certifications in delivering vendor assessments and programs (e.g., Franklin Covey, DDI) is preferred. Strong verbal communication skills and exceptional writing skills are required. Familiarity with training program development models (i.e. Addie Agile, etc) a plus. Travel required.
