Full Description
Summary: To provide general administration support and assists in collecting, compiling, and analyzing HR data, metrics and statistics for various HR projects and operations.
Essential Functions:
- Enters data into various HR systems to ensure effective maintenance of employee information and files
- Generates performance reviews, pay increase requests and disciplinary documents
- Processes documents required for new hires and conducts orientations
- Processes documents for terminated employees including separation notices, payroll, and benefit status
- Provides employee information as appropriate to requesting managers
- Assists employees with matters pertaining to pay, policies, benefits or personal issues
- Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including HRIS system, payroll, employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors practices, and other sources
- Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Prepares reports of data results
- Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retrain employees
- Assists in the implementation of new training, development, recruiting, and other related initiatives
- Assists with staffing, recruiting and onboarding
- Performs other related work as required
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related field preferred
- HRIS and data analytics experience preferred
Skills, Abiliites, and Personal Characteristics:
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of State/Federal employment laws and regulations as might be acquired through experience in an HR environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills including strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks simutaneously to successful completion
- Strong attention to detail
