Job Summary:

Ensures that the guests’ needs are met by closely monitoring interactive Amusement Games, FEC Attractions and other Games. May be assigned at the FEC Information Desk, Attractions, Birthday or other Parties and Events held in the Family Entertainment Center. Assists guest with questions regarding the purchase of, recharging of, joining the club to receive future offers, account summary or activity summary of their Fun Card. Monitors and inspects attractions and all FEC equipment and performs general maintenance to maintain a clean safe environment. Assists guests in the redemption store as needed. Performs the installation, movement, game changes and minor repairs on games and equipment per Company Guidelines and reports all other problems to the FEC Manager or Supervisor. Provides excellent guest service and seeks out guest in need of help. Stocks cranes, photo equipment, card kiosk according to Company Standards. Keeps games and equipment clean. Monitors event activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures. Monitors, reports and enforces the FEC and Water Park Rules and Dress Codes. Responsible for the overall smooth operations of the FEC; ensures a strong focus on an optimal Guest experience. Must be able to file all reports that are needed on a timely bases. Complies with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls and government regulations. Creates and maintains an atmosphere that induces guest to make Margaritaville Resort Biloxi their entertainment choice on the Gulf Coast and maintains a high standard of employee relations at all times. Maintains a high quality property appearance at all times. Ensures efficient quality service. Remains in compliance with all department and company policies and procedures, internal controls and government relations. Adheres to department budget. May attend periodic meetings and training sessions. Welcomes and greets arriving and departing guests. Proactively provides our guests with personal service and attention that exceeds their expectations. Accountable for maintaining high service and quality standards according to brand standards, including Quality Assurance Inspections and Guest Satisfaction Surveys.

Provide general information while maintaining four-diamond, four-star service to guests. Ensure that the company’s Mission Statement and Vision Statement are continuously met.


Job Duties: Daily Operations

As the FEC Attendant your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Constant execution of Margaritaville Resort - Biloxi standards and policies.

  • Ensure excellent relations with guests and other team members.

  • Maintains integrity of all retail and redemption operations.

  • Understand, comply with:

    • All Company policies, procedures, and operating standards.

    • All federal/state/local laws and ordinances.

  • Understands and is proficient in all systems and tools to perform job duties.

  • Make eye contact and greet Guests with a warm smile.

  • Handle Guest complaints correctly and notify a Supervisor or Manager.

  • Ensure a high standard of service efficiency, sanitation, and training.

  • Greets and assists Guests efficiently and with a smile while processing transactions.

  • Follow all Company procedures and policies to protect Company assets.

  • Complete required and ongoing training for the position.

  • Assist management in training new Staff Members within department when applicable.

  • Assist in loss prevention by practicing proper security safeguards.

  • Prioritize and complete all assigned task, for maximum productively and efficiency.

  • Stock, replenish, and receive merchandise and supplies according to procedures.

  • If ever assisting in redemption ensure all merchandise is ticketed properly and the barcode is scanned when item is redeemed.

  • Ask for help whenever it is needed.

  • Ensure a harassment-free environment through proper personal conduct.

  • Use respectful language with Guests, Team Members, Supervisors and Managers at all times.

  • Respond appropriately in emergency situations to avoid danger to self, Team Members, and Guests; remain calm at all times.

  • Notify manager/supervisor of low inventory.

  • Understand, comply with, and enforce all company policies and procedures.

  • Conducts merchandise inventory during and at the end of shift, if applicable, use proper ordering procedures to maintain appropriate par levels of all merchandise-related products.

  • Reviews the cleanliness and organization of the front information desk.

  • Prepare accurate completion of inventory preparation if needed.

  • Follow all procedures to safeguard merchandise.

  • Communicate and establish rapport with Guests.

  • Enforces proper dress codes, age requirements and behavior throughout the FEC and Resort in a professional guest friendly manner.

  • Must have working knowledge of computers and computer systems and be able to explain the use of all games, attractions, equipment and rules to our guest.

  • Assists in the installation, movement, game changes of all FEC games and equipment.

  • Maintains knowledge of current and new FEC games and related equipment and attractions.

  • Understand and utilize all safety and sanitation practices as defined in the safety program; report any accidents.

  • Have strong knowledge of hotel facilities and services, and local attractions.

  • Accountable for maintaining high service and quality standards according to brand standards, including Quality Assurance Inspections and Guest Satisfaction Surveys.

  • Other duties as required or assigned.


Computer Skills: E
xcellent computer skills needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment at all times.

  • May attend weekly or monthly departmental meetings.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in guest service or working in some aspect: or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent reading, writing, mathematical skills must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide and have great communication skills.

  • Ability to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts.

  • Ability to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

  • Good judgment and decision making abilities.

  • Health permit/food safety and Alcohol Awareness training may be required.

  • Cash handling skills


Physical Requirements:

On a continuous basis, stand or sit for long periods of time, intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies, perform simple grasping and fine manipulation; use telephone and computer keyboard on a daily basis.

  • The incumbent should be able to stand continuously for periods over 1 hour.

  • Incumbent must be able to communicate clearly. Long hours sometimes may be required. Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

  • Pushing, pulling and lifting objects from lower to higher position or higher to lower position or moving objects horizontally, from position to position and be able to grasp objects while bending, stooping, standing, sitting or walking,

  • Will be required to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching in narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.

  • Climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.

  • Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.

  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus both indoors and outdoors.

  • Occasional travel for training purposes or other business needs.

  • May be required to work, in a changing indoor and outdoor environment, such as bright sunlight, noise, wind, rain, cold, snow, heat, smoke etc.
