JOB SUMMARY

The Community Health Center, Inc. is proud to offer COVID-19 vaccine Services throughout the State of Connecticut. In response to the State wide need CHCI began providing vaccines to first responders and healthcare personnel designated as part of the Phase 1A priority group of recipients. As the recipient pool expands, at the direction of the State, to include front line workers, those at increased risk for severe COVID-19 illness and the general public, CHCI will continue to expand its state wide vaccination efforts. CHCI is currently offering COVID vaccines appointments at its major primary care centers in Hartford, Stamford, Middletown, New Britain, New London, and Clinton. As vaccination efforts grow, CHCI will offer vaccinations at other fixed sites as well as off-site and community locations such as homeless shelters and congregate housing units.

CHCI now seeks to recruit a group of temporary employees, for a minimum of 6 months, with potential for longer employment, for a position of “COVID Vaccine Support Associate”. This is a non-clinical position that will support operations in roles such as vaccine recipient registration, scheduling of 1st and 2nd dose vaccines at our fixed site locations, greeting and screening recipients, post vaccine observation, logistics, traffic control, set-up and take-down of pop up clinics, and other tasks as assigned. This is an ideal position for an individual seeking to help in a meaningful way during the COVID pandemic, and gain experience in a community health project.
