AIRLINE SERVICES CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT- ABOVE-THE-WING (ATW) (PART-TIME)
OPPORTUNITIES ARE TAKING OFF AT THE BANGOR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT!

The City of Bangor and the Bangor International Airport has a great opportunity for an Airline Services Customer Service Agent working in an Above-The-Wing (ATW) Part-Time position. This position is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of all airlines handled by Bangor International Airport.

This is skilled, technical and highly responsible work providing services for airline passengers through the Airport’s Airline division. This employee frequently works multiple tasks within the operation and at times may have to work independently. This employee performs duties according to general and specialized instructions from their Lead and/or Supervisor and all applicable Federal, State, local and airline regulations. Specific duties for the position include:

  • Reports directly to and assists ATW Lead
  • Assists checking-in passengers, boarding passengers for assigned flights, and operates Jetbridges (if required)
  • Completes daily tasks assigned associated with operations on flight days.
  • Attends daily pre-flight briefings.
  • Assists with reservations and rebooking of passenger.
  • Serves as baggage service liaison.
  • Assists with daily flight paperwork.
  • Participates in Airport, FAA and airline seminars and/or training sessions as required.
  • Performs related duties as required and/or assigned.

An ideal candidate will have a knowledge of passenger handling related operations; knowledge of Governmental regulations for airline operations; knowledge of airline requirements for passenger flight operations; ability to travel on short notice for airline specific training; ability to deal effectively, courteously and professionally with the general public, passengers, airline representatives, Government Officials and airport employees; ability to perform in an emergency situation; ability to respond to airport emergencies as required; ability to legally operate City of Bangor vehicles and equipment; and ability to work a flexible schedule. Experience in airline operations, airport operations and/or travel industry preferred. Candidate must have a valid State of Maine driver’s license with a clean driving record and be able to pass a fingerprint based criminal history check per Federal requirements.

Pay range is $13.04 to $17.52 per hour and includes benefits such as paid leave time after 120 days of employment, schedule flexibility, and paid training.
