Currently, we are seeking to hire a Transportation Specialist. As a Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle from order fulfillment to delivery to the customer. Being successful in this responsibility will assist in creating an exceptional customer experience.


This position will report into Corporate Headquarters based Stamford, CT and will require flexibility to work both onsite as well as remote.

Summary of Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to meet or exceed all goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Plan, execute, track, schedule and/or report on the movements of goods to, from and between the company and 3rd parties. Ensures all aspects of the related processes are performed accurately, in a timely fashion and cost effectively. Monitors order lifecycle milestones. Addresses exceptions and provides Management with resolution details.
  • Track, document archive, and report on regulatory compliance with Government & Lovesac – defined permitting, licensing, registration & insurance requirements.
  • Initiate loss/damage claim processes. Verifies all claims are officially and correctly filed per negotiated guidelines. Confirms all claims are settled in an expedient manner.
  • Audit & code invoices for approval and payment. Works with Partners’ AR departments to resolve disputes, keeps aging at minimum levels & obtain corrected invoices. Tracks invoice batches through the AP system. Verifies payments are processed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, suppliers and logistics vendors to meet requirements of internal/external customers.
  • Communicate directly with customers to address delivery-related concerns.
  • Provide Management with Monthly/ Quarterly/Annual reports of all functions by vendor, department, status, aging, etc.
  • Conduct oneself in a manner consistent with Company policy/procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Recommend improvements to policies/procedures as appropriate
  • Maintain a calm demeanor and manage issues professionally and respectfully in accordance with our company standards.
  • Act with integrity and trust, modeling behavior that respects our employees, peers and customers in accordance with the core values of our company.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or other related field, or related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supply chain discipline preferably transportation or logistics. Retail furniture experience a plus.
  • Must be results driven and utilize knowledge to meet or exceed KPIs and goals.
  • Must have proven time management skills and quickly adapts to a changing business environment.
  • Consistent ability to work both remotely and report into Corporate Headquarters or designated showroom, as required and in accordance with Lovesac policies, CDC and State Guidelines.
  • Must be results driven and utilize knowledge to meet or exceed KPIs and goals.
  • Must have proven time management skills and quickly adapts to a changing business environment.
  • Able to prioritize responsibilities with the appropriate level of urgency, able to listen and can use this information to solve problems, anticipate issues and make correct decisions based on a variety of situations.

  • Proficiency required in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Experience using ERP or Transportation systems a plus
  • Must comply with the standards, policies and procedures outlined in the Lovesac Employee Handbook.
  • Must be capable of using and operating all equipment as required, including but not limited to: iPad, laptop, etc. Be able to move objects (including medium to large furniture items up to 75 pounds) from a lower to a higher position or horizontally from position-to-position or be able to assemble furniture while working on the selling floor or in our warehouse.
  • Must be able to travel, as required by the Company in its sole discretion, for occasional meetings and conferences using various forms of transportation.
