Summary

You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Resource Department of Navy Drug Laboratory Jacksonville of NAVDRUGLAB JAX FL.


Responsibilities

  • You will process requisitions for procurement of a variety of items, materials, services and equipment.
  • You will determine the appropriate purchasing and solicitation method, and prepare justification.
  • You will maintain purchase card accounting and reporting records in accordance with current regulations.
  • You will utilize Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) to submit requisitions.
  • You will observe and report workplace hazards, injuries and occupational illnesses and property damage.
  • You will serve as command equipment custodian.

    • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
    • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
    • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
    • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
    • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Life Cycle Logistics Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.

    Qualifications

    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
    • Experience preparing requisitions, maintenance agreements, purchase orders and contracts.
    • Experience applying software technologies and perform database entry, maintenance, and spreadsheet techniques to produce reports and documentation.
    • Experience utilizing Defense Medical Logistic Standard Support (DMLSS) and FASTDATA.
    • Experience utilizing a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to conduct physical equipment inventories.
    • Experience interpreting supply, equipment management, and accounting systems regulations, policies and procedures.
