Position Summary
Works under general supervision of an assigned supervisor to provide assistance to clients and implement established programs.
Pay Grade: 48 Minimum Qualifications
100.00% - 1. Two (2) years of experience in professional social work, of which one (1) year must have been in a responsible supervisory and/ or managerial capacity; and
2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of social work approved by the National Council on Social Work Education.
3. State of Tennessee social worker licensure preferred.
4. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED Duties and Responsibilities
1. Visits clients or agencies to obtain necessary information to provide assistance to clients.
2. Confers with public and private agencies to communicate program and client needs and make necessary arrangements.
3. Makes referrals to proper agencies.
4. Completes required casework and reports.
5. Assists or initiates special studies or surveys.
6. Conducts educational programs.
7. Makes home visits to investigate and validate clients" needs.
8. Performs other related duties as required or directed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KSAs - 1. Knowledge of the principles and techniques of social work.
2. Ability to deal tactfully with people of all economic and social levels.
3. Ability to use good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
4. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely. Special Requirements
1. Must possess a valid Tennessee driver's license or secure one as of employment date.
2. Must have daily access to a personal operable automobile and meet county requirements for automobile insurance upon date of employment. Disclaimer
