Due to the COVID‐19 uncertainty, this position is contingent upon a variety of factors that are subject to change, including but not limited to site or workload access, resource planning/staffing changes, customer approval and funding for this position.
Are you looking for a new adventure in Human Resources? Jacobs is seeking an HR Manager who is looking for an opportunity to grow and develop in the dynamic and evolving Defense industry environment. This individual will support the current US Army Electronic Proving Ground (EPG) contract at Fort Huachuca, AZ and out-lying areas.


Primary responsibilities include:
  • Partner with the EPG Leadership Team to provide strong customer focused HR delivery to a distributed workforce
  • Drive and support a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Fuel commitment and alignment with Jacobs vision, mission and values.
  • Gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity.
  • Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments.
  • Implement strategies to attract and select the best talent to meet current and future business needs.
  • Ensure positive employee relations and mitigate risks by safeguarding compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Effectively build formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization to meet shared objectives.
  • Screen applicants for position openings, as well as schedule interviews, coordinate candidate offers and assist with on-boarding.
  • Establish outreach relationships to develop a pool of future candidates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding employment matters on the EPG contract
  • Assist with benefit inquires

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Education and Experience:

HS Diploma and 5 yrs of experience, or any equivalent

combination of relevant education and experience.

  • Have solid knowledge and experience in employment law.
  • Are proficient in utilizing Microsoft office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Have excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and are able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks/projects while being detail oriented.
  • Experience with Wage Determination/Service Contract Act, cleared facilities and Global Mobility is preferred.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and passion for strategic HR work.
  • Results oriented, services focused human resource professional with a verifiable track record.
  • An active Secret Clearance is required at time of hire. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • Position will require 10-20% travel.
Essential Functions
Work Environment

Must be able to work independently and with a group of people.
Must embrace Beyond Zero/Safety principles of Jacobs to include; adhering to safe work practices and standards while performing daily tasks, taking responsibility for own and coworkers’ safekeeping and encouraging others to work safely.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
Must perform work activities requiring interaction, negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others.
Must be able to work under supervision and respond appropriately and professionally to criticism from a supervisor.

Physical Requirements

Exerts up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, or up to 5 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Equipment and Machines

Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.

Attendance

With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.
Regular hours will be between Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm. This is a 9/80 work schedule allowing for every other Friday off. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours and work days to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.
May be required to work long and unusual hours based on business needs.

Other Essential Functions

Required to possess and maintain a security clearance.
Must pass drug testing.
Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
Travel requirements –10-20%.
