Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for all human resource activities to including, but not limited to employment, compensations, labor relations, benefits, and training and development.
Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Interview job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications.
Develop and maintain relationship with employment agencies, universities, and other recruitment sources.
Prepare and maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems. Complete salary survey questionnaires.
Prepare, process and distribute payroll.
Design and conduct new employee orientations.
Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
Recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses.
Recommend, develop and maintain human resource data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.
Serves as relief / back-up Receptionist / Switchboard Operator.
MUST be experienced with Payroll software, preferably PayChex; Benefits Administration; 401k Administration; Safety & Worker's Compensation; Training; Employee Activities; Affirmative Action.
