Staff Development Training Specialist – Department of Corrections

What you’ll do:

Directs all phases of research/development/delivery of training programs for employees; consults with agency leaders and work teams to determine present and/or future organizational/individual development needs; provides consultative/technical support to agency personnel regarding the planning/scheduling/ delivery of training programs

Researches/develops/implements training materials; writes and develops training curriculums; produces/ develops/evaluates/acquires audio-visual aids and computer-based software for use in training programs; evaluates training effectiveness; recommends/determines revisions; implements revisions to specific training programs; prepares reports on progress of assigned phases of training

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications:

One or more years of professional training experience with the State of Missouri

OR

Two or more years of professional or technical experience in a business, governmental, or military setting, where the primary duties involved formal classroom training, training course design and development, and/or curriculum planning; and a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Education, Business or Public Administration, the Social Sciences, or a closely related field.
