Start the next chapter of your Plumbing Career! The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (DOC) is actively seeking a devoted and passionate Plumbing Trade Instructor. As a Plumbing Trade Instructor, you will work as part of a dedicated maintenance team where collaboration and communication are integral.

- Full-time employment
- Work Hours - Days - Monday through Friday; Hours - 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Work week is 40 hours.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- On-the-job training and shop instruction for the vocational training of inmates
- Instruction in the areas of general plumbing maintenance, preventative plumbing maintenance, and installation of new plumbing fixtures and equipment
- Plan and assign work to inmates receiving plumbing training
- Review and inspect work in progress and upon completion

Qualifications:
- Must meet PA residency requirement – For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency
- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Five years of experience in the inspection, maintenance, repair, assembly, and installation of pipes, fittings, and fixtures used in heating, water, and drainage systems; OR completion of an approved apprenticeship in the plumbing trade; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the plumbing trade.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
