Under general supervision, utilizes in-house GIS data in ESRI"s ArcGIS Desktop applications to create routine map exhibits; utilizes GIS data from in-house and outside sources to process special mapping requests for small and large format presentations; conducts QA/QC on datasets, data sources, GIS-based spatial and tabular datasets, and final mapping or data products; researches, verifies, creates, edits, and maintains spatial and attribute datasets; performs complex feature data creation, editing, or analysis; performs complex queries and field calculations; creates data subsets and reports from spatial and attribute data derived from original datasets; conducts geocoding operations; formats tabular data for joining or relating to existing datasets; applies appropriate dataset design principles in desktop mapping applications for web map publishing; conducts web map configurations for web application functionality; data editing experience using enterprise versioning; experience creating and maintaining map and feature services; web-based mapping experience using ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS; performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Associate"s Degree in a GIS-related field (geography, engineering, urban planning, etc.). Professional experience to include one to three years of experience in a multi-user GIS environment; and a proficiency with ESRI"s ArcGIS desktop and server applications. A valid Texas Driver"s Licensed required.
This is a temporary position scheduled to last approximately six months in duration. Hours will be between 32-40 weekly.
